You can’t deny, at least according to this first look, they NAILED the visuals

This poster is showing one thing that I feel should reassure all Mario fans. It’s showing heart. There is some real heart in just this poster. If the teaser gives us what the poster is, I think this could be one of the greatest video game adaptations ever made. Yes. Even rivaling Castlevania on Netflix.

Calling it now, Mario finds Yoshi on top of the castle at the end of the credits.

The tostarena, fossil falls and mushroom Kingdom stickers in the captain toad’s bag is a really good reference to Super Mario Odyssey. They are the same stickers that we used to decorate the Odyssey in that game. Even the mushroom Kingdom’s sticker has that yellow letter.

The Fact that the postor was so detailed,That SOMEONE actually made a video describing all the easter eggs in it just shows How Visually stunning of a poster it is.

Thanks to this video, I now know what those pins on Toad’s backpack are.
What’s even more surprising is that Tostarena is one of the kingdoms referenced on those pins. I guess Nintendo is solidifying places in Mario’s world, minus the Mushroom Kingdom.

Such great attention to detail! The Toad’s backpack even has pins of the Mushroom Kingdom and Tostarena!

My favorite part of this poster is the antique shop. I love that they are basically made of pixel art, referrencing the older games of the 8 and 16 bit era and therefore, addressing them as true antiques.

The bades of Tosterena and Fossil Falls suggests that Odyssey world design is concrete and that when it comes to the main verse of Mario, that is the de facto world map. Of course, settings would consist of small islands like Sonic does, or just be within the mainlands. But it’s still interesting after all these years, Mario’s world is established. After years of it just being the Mushroom Kingdom designed differently each time we see it.

I wonder if the top of the mountain with Peach’s Castle will be based on the Kingdom level design in Odyssey.
